Ex-Mayor Visit Feedo Needo

'Here at Feedo Needo, we were fortunate enough to receive a visit from the Ex-Lord Mayor and Councilor, Shafique Shah at our main food distribution center located in Arabica cafe. The purpose of this visit was to showcase our efforts in supporting the most vulnerable members of our community with our food parcels and how we integrate volunteers into our weekly food bank. Our volunteers had the chance to meet the esteemed Councilor, who shared his wisdom and experiences of growing up in Birmingham with the second highest rate of homelessness in the UK outside of London, as a majority of our patrons are either; homeless, require assisted accommodation, rough sleepers or in need of our continued support. His words not only highlighted the importance of the work we do and why it is so important to continue our efforts, but he also motivated our volunteers to keep up the good work and find a bright light on this issue, be it the sense of belonging and togetherness we have created through this humbling and rewarding experience of helping those in need with our provisions and friendly interactions. We would like to therefore thank the Ex-Lord Mayor for his presence and kind words which we will remember for a long time coming.'
